Ortiz and Ivery-Robinson named ATHENA Award finalists
Denishea Ortiz, executive director of Strategic Marketing and Retail Product Management, has been named a 2024 ATHENA International Award finalist. The award is given annually to a professional female leader who has demonstrated significant achievements in business, community service, and the professional advancement of women. Jazzmyn Ivery-Robinson, assistant director for Campus Life, is a finalist for the ATHENA International Young Professional Award, which is presented to emerging female leaders who demonstrate excellence, creativity, and initiative in their business or profession and serve as a role model for young women both personally and professionally. The awards are presented by the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce and its Women’s Council affiliate.

RIT eco-friendly initiative reimplements packaged water policy starting April 1
RIT is reimplementing its policy against the use of packaged water, beginning April 1, when university funds may no longer be used to purchase still, unflavored, or packaged water. The policy applies to all single-serve water regardless of container material, size, event type, and method of purchase.
