Interactive Storytelling
In May 2026, Prof. Laura Shackelford will serve as a Fulbright Specialist, leading a two-week seminar on Digital Storytelling for Students and Future Educators at Università del Piemonte Orientale (UPO) in Northern Italy. The practice-based seminar will introduce students to digital storytelling, multimodal narrative, and interdisciplinary digital tools. Exploring the history of computer-generated language and influential works in electronic literature, multimedia art, and data-based digital storytelling, students will write and develop their own story, using Twine, Esri's ArcGIS StoryMaps, or GenAI tools. Projects from the seminar will be shared here in June 2026.
