Transnational Digital Creation Workshop with l’Université de Paris 8

Interactive Storytelling

Annually, since the fall semester of 2020, this Transnational Digital Creation Workshop, bringing together small teams of RIT graduate and advanced undergraduate students and graduate students at l’Université de Paris 8, has allowed students to develop creative digital installations of their own design. Joining in an innovative transnational workshop-laboratory organized with Professor Philippe Bootz and Samuel Szoniecky at l’Université de Paris 8 and Professor Laura Shackelford and Laurie O'Brien, at the Rochester Institute of Technology.  RIT students collectively explore creative possibilities of digital creation ‘beyond the screen’ using AR/VR, sensing devices (Kinect, Makey Makey, Leapmotion), text generators, the Omeka S database, and other digital tools with their French partners.
