Dr. Mounsef is dedicated to the research in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics. More specifically, her research interests span the broad areas of machine learning, deep learning, computer vision applications, and autonomous robotics.
Dr. Jinane Mounsef's research work showcases her strong track record in conducting innovative research across multiple fields, with a focus on developing AI-based practical solutions that can be applied to various industries and domains. Her research achievements demonstrate her expertise and innovative thinking in different areas. In the field of computer vision, she developed innovative solutions such as “Automation of Material Takeoff” and “Image-Based Drowning Solution”. In robotics, her research on “A Self-Driving Transport Vehicle Based on Fusion Camera and Radar” and “A Social Robot for Enhancing Students Learning Abilities” demonstrate her expertise in developing intelligent systems and enhancing human-machine interaction. Dr. Mounsef's recent work on “Building an Arabic Dialectal Diagnostic Dataset for Healthcare” and “Predicting UAE License Plate Prices using Machine and Deep Learning” highlight her contribution towards developing solutions for the local Emirati community. Additionally, her research work on “Child Safety and Protection in the Online Gaming Ecosystem” involves the development of a chatbot using machine learning to detect and prevent predatory behavior in online chatrooms. This last work is a collaboration with faculty from RIT Dubai and the Mental Health Lab at Columbia University, which highlights her ability to work in interdisciplinary settings. Her research has been published in prestigious journals and presented at various conferences, including IEEE Access, IEEE Global Engineering Education Conference (EDUCON), IEEE Green Energy and Smart Systems Conference (IGESSC), and International Conference of Control Dynamic Systems, and Robotics, among others.
