The Bates and Sol Tutoring Centers are free, drop-in locations for tutoring, group work, and general studying. No appointments needed.
Any student in any course can stop by to get help in math, physics, or chemistry. Some professors also hold office hours in Bates; check your syllabus for details.
All tutors have earned at least an A- in the courses they support, maintain an overall GPA of 3.6 or higher, and are certified through the ASC’s tutor training program, which meets College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) standards.
