Fall event review: Welcome Back Breakfast | Fall-Winter 2021

The Annual Welcome breakfast was held on September 15th. This session's goal is for women faculty to grow and build their network at RIT. The session included a welcome message from the Provost planned activities for the year and individual faculty introductions. Twenty-six faculty attended with 35% being non-tenure-track and 65% being tenure track. One hundred percent of attendees indicated the session was a valuable use of their time and assisted in their growing their network at RIT. In addition, 94% of participants strongly agreed or agreed that attending this session provided an opportunity to develop their networking at RIT. One participant noted that the most useful aspect of the session was “meeting everyone and learning research interests of others. Also, it was great to see new faculty who have recently joined the university.”
