Let’s Talk Money: Understanding RIT Pay Practices | Late Spring 2022

AdvanceRIT hosted a Let’s Talk Money event once again this year on March 29^th. All full-time faculty members were invited to come and learn about salary-related resources available to them. The workshop was designed to explore how to shape future thinking and discussions focused on salary, particularly RIT’s compensation practices, and policies. Speakers included professors Carol Marchetti, Margaret Bailey, and Iris Rivero with additional speaker Rina Ross from HR. Overall the event was a success with everyone saying that the session was a valuable use of time. Every also agreed that the presenters were very knowledgeable about the topic. Additionally, 90% of participants said that they plan to take action to improve their practices related to salary discussions. Some of the comments from the survey detailed, “it was rich in information”, and that they thought that “understanding the benchmarks…” was a very useful aspect they left with.
