She received this opportunity through the Grace Hopper Celebration with the help Saunders College of Business and Women in Computing. Shelton worked as an intern analyst in the Analytics and Data Undergraduate Program. Wells Fargo held a grand kick-off at Disney, where Jessie met other interns and learned more about the company. She says, “As an Intern Analyst on the Enterprise Sandbox and Data Governance (ESDG) team within the Chief Data Office, I designed and executed a stakeholder feedback survey to improve ESDG services. I conducted interviews, analyzed attestation data using SQL Server, applied Design Thinking, and contributed to a Power BI dashboard to surface key insights. Additionally, I co-developed a SharePoint site as a centralized resource for sandbox users, including environment details, intake processes, empathy maps, and metadata dashboards.”
Congratulations to Damien Sorvillo, a third-year Film and Animation major, who is a member of the 4th cohort of the RIT in LA Program. It gives students a chance to earn credits and get some hands-on experience in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles. Project-based courses are taught by local RIT faculty in LA, internships are available, and students get to network with professionals and RIT alumni.
Daniel Shiferaw, a management information systems major, just completed an eight-month co-op with Emerson in Marshalltown, Iowa. Shiferaw says It wasn’t all work-and no play. Emerson hosted fun weekly activities and programs focused on professional development, practical skills, and networking. “This experience exposed me to a multifaceted team skilled in reporting, programming, and machine learning, helping me explore different career paths while building meaningful connections. The guidance and support from my team made this co-op an incredible and impactful experience, both professionally and personally."
