Committee Descriptions

Executive

Establish the overall direction, strategy and goals of the board and work with committees to ensure all objectives are met successfully and yearly evaluations are performed. Areas of focus include strategic planning, goals and metrics and evaluation strategies. The Executive Committee consists of the President, Vice President/President Elect and Secretary of the Alumni Association.

Membership

The purpose of the Membership Committee is to identify, research and nominate new candidates for membership on the Alumni Association Board of Directors in accordance with guidelines, expectations and timetables outlined in the bylaws and in compliance with the mission and vision of the university. The membership committee also oversees current member experience including onboarding and offboarding and overall member engagement.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

The purpose of the Diversity and Inclusion committee is to spearhead the Alumni Association’s efforts to represent diverse perspectives through the work of the board’s various committees. Thus, promoting a culture of acceptance and welcoming across the entire campus community and the alumni association. The Committee will make recommendations to the Alumni Board for consideration by the university administration relative to inclusive and diverse approaches, examining programs, activities, policies, publications, and practices to identify exclusive outcomes; regardless of intent.
