- Linwei Wang was recognized with an endowed professorship and inaugurated as the Bruce B. Bates Professor in November 2025.
- Ferat Sahin received the IEEE Outstanding Contribution Award from the IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society in October 2025.
- Andreas Savakis was named Distinguished Professor by RIT for 2024-25.
- Reynold Bailey and Cecilia Alm received a Generative AI-focused REU Site award in 2025, with multiple CHAI faculty mentors. It will welcome students in Summer 2026. This is the second ongoing REU Site award involving CHAI faculty PIs. In addition, other CHAI-affiliated cohort research training awards include AWARE-AI (2021), AI-PROWIL (2024), and Universal AI (2025).

- Quang Bui received the Best Paper Runner-up Award at the DIGIT workshop at ICIS 2024.
- Matt Huenerfauth and collaborators received an Honorable Mention for Best Paper at CHI 2024.
- Bing Yan was honored with a National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2024.
- Ji Hwan Park co-authored a paper recognized with an Honorable Mention at CHI 2024.
- The AWARE-AI team received an award supplement for launching the NRT+ network with partners at Clemson University, Cleveland State University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and two award supplements for the Dublin-Rochester International CRT-NRT Mobility Program, partnering with ML-Labs in Dublin, Ireland.
- Darren De Guzman and Alexander Loui were awarded the Best Technical Paper Candidate, W4A 2023
- Matt Huenerfauth and collaborators were recognized with the Best Technical Paper Candidate, W4A 2023
