Shaping the Future of Design Education: RIT at DDX Conference Dubai 2026

The DDX Conference, a global innovation & design summit in Munich, Dubai, London, San Diego and other cities, is coming to Dubai on February 7–8, 2026. As the largest UX and innovation event in the Middle East, it will bring together over 600 design leaders, innovators, and educators from around the world.

Through collaboration across its campuses in Rochester, Dubai, and Croatia, RIT is excited to partner with DDX conference to launch a dedicated Education Track, exploring the future of Interaction Design, Media Design, UX/UI, and related disciplines. Our faculty member, Dr. Ante Poljičak serves as one of the Educational Track Co-Chairs, helping lead this exciting initiative.

We invite researchers, educators, professors, and design practitioners to submit proposals and share insights shaping the next era of design education.

Topics of interest (not limited to):

  • AI in the classroom and curriculum
  • Multidisciplinary and cohort-based pedagogy
  • Design and new media for cross-culturality, inclusivity, and accessibility
  • Teaching haptic and tangible user interfaces

Session format:

  • 30-minute sessions: 20 minutes presentation + 10 minutes discussion
  • Small, interactive sessions hosting up to 30 experts

Submission deadline: Friday, December 5, 2025, 5:00 PM ET

All submissions will be peer-reviewed by RIT academic co-chairs, and selected papers will be presented during DDX Dubai 2026 and published in the official DDX × RIT Proceedings.
