DDI Good News | February 2019

Tina Chapman DaCosta, director of Diversity Theater who teaches a class called Directing the Actor, was a guest on WXXI’s Connections with Evan Dawson about the abuses suffered by women in film and theater.

Ivanna Colon, assistant director, TRiO Upward Bound was chosen to join the College Student Educators International (ACPA) 2020 Convention Team as a Steering Committee member and will be leading a team as the career development and advancement chair. The ACPA Convention will be held in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to running Career Central where employers can connect with candidates, the center will host educational programs, networking and engagement opportunities.

Kate Torrey, director of LSAMP and McNair scholars, was chosen to participate in the highly selective national training led by the Donna M. Bourassa Mid-level Management Institute from January 5-9 in Orange, California.  This training is also co-sponsored by College Student Educators International (ACPA) and the Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA).
