Congratulations, to several Division of Diversity and Inclusion staff members for their accomplishments as they strive to continue making a difference in their community, especially to our most recent RIT graduates, as follows:
We would like to congratulate and highlight several students who were awarded scholarships at the Leadership Awards & Scholarships Dinner & Celebration, on April 18th. Each of these students are positively impacted and show great promise for continued success in their academics at RIT. Legacy is what makes these scholarships such an honor. The legacy of Frederick Douglass and Isaac L. Jordan, Sr. is present across the community with innumerable accolades on their work and vision.
RIT CSTEP students participated in the 26th annual statewide Collegiate Science Technology Entry Program (CSTEP) conference. The conference held April 13-15, 2018, at The Sagamore on Lake George at B olton Landing, NY. This conference was started in 1992, to highlight the various research where CSTEP students participated, contributed and were exposed to in their STEM fields. RIT joined over 52 CSTEP colleges/universities participating during this year’s conference.
RIT’s CSTEP had several student presenters, including:
Several of RIT’s Upward Bound Classic (UBC) high school students had the opportunity to get an insider’s view of the 11th Annual Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival with current RIT students.
We’re celebrating the accomplishments of WOCHA cohort #3 and MOCHA cohort #5 students, who gathered at Radio Social on April 21st and took the opportunity to reminisce on their year-long leadership development experience. Each of these students have shown they’re willing to be challenged and motivated to be exemplary leaders, determined to excel academically, personally, and civically.
