Janet Lomax, joins the DDI Family as Journalist in Residence on the Marketing & Communications Team beginning October 14, 2019. Janet is no stranger to RIT, as she just completed serving as the 2018-2019 RIT Minett Professor. She is an award winning journalist with 40 years of experience. For more than three decades she served as News Anchor at News 10NBC in Rochester, NY before retiring in December 2016.
“In a garden, food arises from partnership,” writes Robin Wall Kimmerer. A group of RIT students, staff, and faculty are currently reading Kimmerer’s book “Braiding Sweetgrass.” This book is based on “Indigenous wisdom, scientific knowledge, and the teaching of plants.”
Mr. Jordan’s vision was to build a community that celebrates difference where all individuals could develop to their fullest potential. He was an inspirational leader who motivated others with his authenticity, vision and commitment to promoting a unified community at RIT.
The Office of Faculty Diversity and Recruitment, in partnership with RIT’s academic colleges, were thrilled to host 12 prospective faculty for the 2019 Future Faculty Career Exploration Program (FFCEP) held September 26-28 at RIT. “After a rigiours nationwide search, which yielded an acceptance rate of less than ten perfect, we were very pleased to welcome this years cohort to campus. Embodying a wide-range of disciplines, talents, and universities, our 2019 cohort represented some of the best minds in America,” said Dr.
