Rich, Beach, and Ruder publish about psychosocial elements of cancer survivor rowing programs
Jason Rich, lecturer and program director of exercise science; Pamela Beach, professor and associate dean; and Elizabeth Ruder, associate professor and school head, all in the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition, published “‘It’s cheaper than therapy’: An interpretative phenomenological analysis of female participants in a cancer survivor rowing program” in Women in Sport and Physical Activity Journal. This is the first qualitative study to examine the psychosocial elements of cancer survivor rowing programs and explores the participant's lived experiences as well as the benefits and barriers to their participation.
