The Division of Legal, Compliance, and Audit comprises the Office of Legal Affairs; the Office of Compliance and Ethics; and the Office of Institute Audit, Compliance and Advisement. The Division is responsible for providing legal counsel, promoting an ethical and compliance culture, and delivering independent assurance and advisory services to the Institute and RIT Community.
Legal Affairs
The Office of Legal Affairs is RIT’s in-house corporate legal office. We provide legal advice, counseling, training, and service to RIT representing the university on all legal matters arising out of its activities. The office does not provide legal advice for personal legal issues.
Institute Audit
The Office of Institute Audit, Compliance and Advisement (IACA) is RIT’s internal audit department. Our mission is to promote a strong internal control environment by objectively and independently assessing risks and controls; evaluating business processes for efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance; providing management advisory services; and offering training to the university community.
Compliance and Ethics
The Office of Compliance and Ethics serves the RIT community by promoting a culture that encourages ethical conduct and a commitment to compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
