Desperate flood victims scramble during a food distribution by a local Muslim organization offering rice for hungry survivors over two weeks after floods started Aug. 13, 2010, in Sukkur, Pakistan. The country's agricultural heartland was devastated as rice, corn and wheat fields flooded, creating a massive, miles-long lake. In addition, Pakistanis became more frustrated with the government's response and a lack of foreign aid. The United Nations described the disaster as unprecedented with over one third of the country under water.
