- Teacher’s Symposium 2023
After a hiatus from COVID, we are pleased to resume the annual Center of Statesmanship, Law, and Liberty’s Teacher’s Symposium this June 8-11th, 2023 at the Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.
This year’s topic:
Pillar’s of American Statesmanship: George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass
About the Seminar
As in the past, the seminar will involve a lecture and guided conversation about key primary documents/texts on the topic. Our purpose is to enhance teacher content about the role of statesmanship in a democratic republic. These documents will be sent in a pdf form to you upon your acceptance. In addition, there will be a guided tour of the Valley Forge battlefield on Saturday by Freedoms Foundation Vice President Jeff Scott on June 10th. You won’t want to miss this! We are further pleased and honored to be joined by Tony Williams, Senior Fellow at the Bill of Rights Institute, Washington author and historian of the American Founding, as the guest instructor.
Accommodations
Please note that the location of the seminar has changed from Rochester to the Freedoms Foundation in historic Valley Forge Pennsylvania. Free room and board will be provided on premises of the Freedoms Foundation, which has excellent accommodations at a historic location. In addition, participants will receive a certificate for professional development hours. However, we are unable to provide for travel expenses this year. We hope that your school will be able to support travel.
