Bio

I am a Biomedical Science major with aspirations of becoming a cardiothoracic surgeon. My interest in healthcare comes from wanting to work in a field where the stakes are real and the impact is immediate. Where skill and preparation directly affect someone’s quality of life. That’s what drew me toward medicine and continues to shape how I approach my education.

Before attending RIT, I graduated high school with honors and was an active member of both the National Honor Society and student government. Through these experiences, I developed an early interest in service, representation, and leadership.

I have participated in a variety of volunteer initiatives, including fundraising for global education through the Pulsera Project, creating handmade dolls for children receiving pro bono dental care in Central and South America, and contributing to environmental cleanup efforts in local communities.

As a CHST Senator, I hope to represent student perspectives thoughtfully and contribute to initiatives that support both academic success and student wellbeing.

Platform

My goal is to focus on practical improvements that make a real difference in students’ day-to-day academic experience.

One of my priorities is strengthening communication between students and college leadership. Many students are unaware of tutoring services, academic coaching, and scholarship opportunities simply because the information doesn’t reach them in a clear or timely way. I hope to help improve how information is shared so students feel informed rather than left out of the loop.

I would also support expanding access to academic and professional development opportunities by improving visibility of research openings, help connect students with shadowing opportunities, and promote preparation resources such as resume workshops, application guidance, and mentorship from upperclassmen who have already navigated these pathways.

Additionally, I believe student feedback should play a larger role in shaping the CHST experience. Whether it’s concerns about course structure or general student wellbeing, I would work to ensure that student voices are heard and meaningfully represented in discussions that impact them.

Finally, I want to contribute to building a stronger sense of connection within CHST. Students across majors often face similar challenges but have limited opportunities to engage with one another. Supporting events or partnerships that bring students together could help foster a more supportive and unified college environment.
