Bio

I grew up in Indiana, where my leadership journey began in middle school. I first served as Treasurer and later as President of my school’s Student Council. In high school, I became involved with the Junior National Association of the Deaf (Jr. NAD), which strengthened my passion for advocacy and community leadership. During my junior year, I attended a Youth Leadership Camp in Oregon, where I developed skills in collaboration, communication, and service. I also attended the National Association of the Deaf (NAD) Conference twice to witness how leadership grows within the Deaf community.

Now at Rochester Institute of Technology, I am majoring in Business with plans to pursue a career in accounting. I continue my leadership as a Resident Advisor and through NTID Student Congress, supporting students and promoting inclusive engagement across campus.

Outside of academics and leadership, I enjoy playing volleyball, which keeps me energized and connected with others. I look forward to continuing to grow as a leader and strengthening unity across RIT’s community.

Platform

As a Cross-Registered Senator, I am committed to building stronger connections between Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and all eight colleges at Rochester Institute of Technology. My platform is centered on B.R.I.D.G.E.

Build Representation: I will ensure Deaf and Hard of Hearing students are not only present, but heard, valued, and actively involved in shaping RIT. Every cross-registered student deserves recognition within their major and their respective college.

Recognize Identities: Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across RIT hold diverse academic, cultural, and personal identities. I will promote connections between colleges so cross-registered students feel supported both within their major and within the Deaf community.

Increase Awareness: I will advocate for greater understanding of Deaf culture and the experiences of cross-registered students. Awareness strengthens inclusion and encourages collaboration between NTID and the other eight colleges.

Develop Deaf Spaces: I will support inclusive environments where Deaf and Hard of Hearing students feel culturally affirmed and academically empowered. Deaf space should exist not only within NTID, but throughout the entire university.

Grow Leadership: I will encourage and mentor Deaf and Hard of Hearing students to pursue leadership roles campus-wide. All Deaf and Hard of Hearing students deserve opportunities to participate in leadership and campus spaces across all colleges.

Engage All Eight Colleges: RIT is strongest when unified. I will strengthen collaboration between every RIT college to build a campus community that values accessibility, identity, and shared leadership that prepares students for collaborative leadership beyond graduation.

Through B.R.I.D.G.E., I aim to connect communities, elevate voices, and ensure Deaf and Hard of Hearing students thrive across every college at RIT.
