Shaila Yadav Lapizco

Hi! My name is Shaila Yadav Lapizco and I am a first year Individualized Study and Chemical Engineering double major. My SOIS focuses consist of Sustainability/ Environmental Studies and Public Policy. I explore many clubs around campus and regularly attend the gymnastics club and For The Record music club. I enjoy live music in terms of seeing local shows, video games and fashion. I love getting involved in new communities and am a member of the SOIS Student Advisory Board and wish to expand into many more campus organizations. If I were elected to this position my primary goals would be to

-Strengthen the SOIS community by continuing to encourage the organization of major specific events

-Gain and share influence from other colleges to help students network and host collaborative events

-Grow career reach and career awareness opportunities for SOIS students

-Incorporate resume building projects and skills to the required SOIS classes

-Increase advertising of the major to get the word out and welcome more incoming freshmen, transfers, and students uncertain of their current major that might want to switch

Student feedback is very important for me and I will work to bring all of our wants to fruition!
