Hey there, my name is Jayllen Hathman. I'm a game design and development major with a minor in exercise science from Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, I'm serving as the academic success chair of 'Unity House', and I'm also the community service leader of 'The Black Thought Collective'. Additionally, I'm a member of the conference planning committee for the National Society of Black Engineers RIT chapter.
As the President of the Iota Phi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., I enjoy being a leader and community builder. When I'm not busy with my academic pursuits and extracurricular activities, I love DJing and have a diverse range of musical interests. I enjoy playing everything from hip-hop and R&B to soca, dancehall, dembow, bachata, and afrobeats.
I'm also passionate about supporting various programs on campus, including BACC, RIT CSA, LOCs, and many orgs in the Multicultural Greek Council. With my dynamic skill set and passion for making a positive impact, I'm excited to see what the future holds for me in both my personal and professional life.

Hello, RIT students and faculty! My name is Jayllen Hathman, and I'm excited to announce my interest in becoming Greek Senator. As someone who is deeply involved with multiple organizations on campus, I've had the opportunity to build connections with students, faculty, and alumni. I believe that this puts me in a unique position to serve as an effective representative for the Greek community on campus.
One of my main goals as Greek Senator is to improve the presence of Greek life on campus. I believe that many students are unaware of the many opportunities and benefits that Greek life has to offer. I want to work to change that by raising awareness of Greek life and showcasing the many ways in which it can benefit both students and the RIT community as a whole.
In addition, I want to be a voice for all the Greek councils on campus. I believe that by working together and sharing our ideas and goals, we can create a stronger and more cohesive Greek community. I also believe that Greek life can play an important role in serving the local Rochester community, and I want to work to make that a reality. Also, as the supervisor of the student life center, I have gained experience working with large teams of students and managing conflicts both internally and externally. I have held multiple board positions and served on numerous committees at the same time, which has taught me the importance of effective time management.
Overall, I'm passionate about improving the Greek life experience for all students at RIT. I believe that by doing so, we can create a more vibrant and connected community that benefits everyone. With my qualifications and experience, I believe that I am well-equipped to advocate for Greek life on campus and to work towards improving the presence and opportunities for students involved with Greek life as well as bring back Greek Week! I would be honored to serve as your Greek Senator, and I promise to work tirelessly to represent your interests and promote the benefits of Greek life. Thank you for your consideration!
