Current research projects
- GIS and satellite remote sensing applications for monitoring submerged rooted vegetation (SRV) distribution and habitat change in Core Sound, NC.
- Curriculum and database development for courses integrating GIS and environmental/ecological concepts.
- Interactive mapping projects using ArcView GIS and ArcView Internet Map Server (IMS) in community-based GIS initiatives (Learn and Serve) with the Northeast Neighborhood Alliance, Rochester, NY.
- Land use/ land cover, discharge, and sediment trends in the Yadkin River Basin, NC 1951-1995 (and beyond).
