WELCOME to The Department of Chemistry!
The RIT Chemistry and Biochemistry Program offers students the opportunity to understand the phenomena that affect nearly every aspect of our lives and environment. Students will explore the nature of the physical world, the global problems that face our society, and the methods and limitations of chemistry today. Our flexible curriculum includes exposure to the theories, laws, techniques, and applications of the science. Students interested in careers in chemistry or biochemistry will find electives that provide a strong background for work in graduate school, a career in industry, or other positions requiring a strong foundation in chemistry.
Sincerely,
Dr. Paul Rosenberg,
Department Chair
