M.S. in Applied & Computational Mathematics
This interdisciplinary program educates and trains students in the areas of mathematics that can effectively be used to deal with problems that are encountered in business and industry. Because this is an interdisciplinary program, students have the flexibility to choose from a wide variety of courses throughout RIT, and students who come into the program with a specific problem that requires mathematical analysis may select courses that contribute to the understanding and solution of that problem.
Designed to introduce the student to advanced applied mathematics methodology, the goal of this program is to help students realize the potential of this methodology as a tool in the solution of problems in business and industry. Additionally, the program equips students with the mathematical tools necessary to analyze particular problems in which they are interested including computational and numerical methods.
