Working together, Inspiring each other, Strengthening relationships, Engaging community for the success of women in science and math (WISe)
The Women in Science (WISe) program contributes to the engagement of women in sciences and mathematics through diverse and unique events and opportunities. The program engages participants by offering information and education on equity and inclusion.
Outreach and recruitment activities inspire love for the sciences and mathematics in K-12 girls, education activities enrich the undergraduate experience of COS majors, and policy and programmatic activities enable the advancement and success of women in science and mathematics disciplines.
SMASH is a program for rising eighth-grade girls designed to build confidence in science and math. The curriculum focuses on improving the two attitudinal values, perceived usefulness of mathematic and mathematical self-efficacy, impacting math-related achievement. Girls about to enter the eighth grade can join us at RIT for five days of cool science fun with math.
