Informing the US national security policy-making process: The role of scientists and technical experts

The need for science and technology experts to provide input to the national and domestic security policy-making process continues to increase. How the technical community connects with government is, however, a challenge. This talk will describe the workings of the Center for Science, Technology and Security Policy at the American Association for the Advancement of Science, explore the connection between the science and security policy research community and the government, and describe some questions that might be addressed by future conferences.
