Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Award recognizes an academic degree program that is committed to best practices in assessment, improving student learning, and continuous program improvement. To qualify for the award the program must involve stakeholders in assessment, establish effective assessment planning and implementation processes, and demonstrate continuous improvement. Each college can submit one program.

The 2023 Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The 2023 award recipient was the BS in ASL English Interpretation in the National Technical Institute for the Deaf. Department Chair Keith Cagle accepted the award at the Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship ceremony on April 13, 2023.

The 2022 Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The 2022 award recipient was MS Bioinformatics from the College of Science. Program Chair Feng Cui, PhD. accepted the award at the Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship ceremony on April 12, 2022.

The 2021 Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The 2021 award recipient is the Master of Science, Health Systems Management program in the College of Health Sciences and Technology. The program director is Carla Stebbins.

The 2020 award recipient is the Digital Humanities and Social Sciences BS program in the College of Liberal Arts. The program director is Jessica Lieberman.

The 2019 award recipient is the Master of Science for Teachers (MST) Visual Arts—All Grades program in the College of Art and Design. Program Director Lauren Ramich accepted the award at the Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship ceremony on April 16.

The 2018 Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The 2018 award recipient is BS Chemical Engineering from the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. Department Chair Dr. Steve Weinstein accepted the award at the Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship ceremony on April 17.

The 2016 Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The 2016 award recipient is AAS Administrative Support Technology from the National Technical Institute for the Deaf.  Program Chair Mary Beth Parker accepted the award at the Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship ceremony on May 10.

The 2015 Provost's Award for Excellence in Student Learning Outcomes Assessment

The 2015 award recipient was BS Mechanical Engineering from the Kate Gleason College of Engineering. Program Chair Risa Robinson accepted the award at the Celebration of Teaching and Scholarship ceremony on May 5, 2015.
