Roar to the Finish
The Roar to the Finish Program is designed to help past RIT students complete their degrees in the most time and cost effective way possible. The Roar Initiative maximizes past credits while simultaneously utilizing flexible and alternative methods to earn the remaining credits needed for degree completion.
Is this program for you?
- Are you a previous RIT student who has earned over 75 semester (112 quarter) hours?
- Have you been away from RIT for 3+ years?
- Are you ready to Roar and complete an RIT degree?
No matter how long you have been gone, or what you have been doing since leaving, we will work with you to find a customized pathway to your bachelors degree. We may be able to help you complete your original degree program, but if that is not possible, RIT's customizable BS degree from The School of Individualized Study may be a viable option. You may even be able to complete your degree without having to come to RIT's campus!
For a personalized evaluation of your past RIT credits, please contact Sydney Wyse, Roar to the Finish Program Coordinator.
Success Story: Rob Livesay '17
An information technology student, Rob had to leave RIT to look for work. “It was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, leaving school to start looking for a job,...I never thought I’d get my RIT degree.” Now eleven years later, Rob has gotten that chance. He returned to RIT, taking one semester of online courses to complete his BS degree. “I wanted something to show for all the time and money I spent working toward this..." In addition to achieving personal satisfaction from earning his degree, Rob has secured a new job as a systems engineer at Oswego Hospital.
