HAPPY HOLIDAYS! Where did the semester go – or 2017 for that matter? We are quickly approaching the end of the calendar year, and it is a good time to look at possibilities for the upcoming year. The holiday break enables you to take a step back while looking to the year ahead. Take some time for yourself to relax and rejuvenate while setting some goals for 2018. Consider taking time to explore your balance between academic and home life. Spend time with family and friends and observe annual traditions. Think about setting some resolutions for your career as well: Is there research or writing that needs your focus in the New Year? Do you need to re-examine your plan of work to check off milestones or redirect your energy?
Celebrate the end of the semester with a free coffee break at The Wallace Center on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. Drop in anytime between 10:00am - 1:00pm on the 1st floor for free coffee/tea and a snack.

Faculty Grant Opportunity
Apply for a Faculty "STRETCH" grant — intended to provide an opportunity to support faculty with an idea or venture that is somewhat broad in scope, but impacts numerous faculty within the College or across departments, such as guest speakers, seminars, workshops, etc. These grants use a rolling application process and are accepted throughout the academic year. Funding is decided based on wider institutional impact.
