Additional technical assistance available
New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I) is an additional resource for New York State manufacturers. We work with businesses to find cost-effective ways to do more using less resources, all while reducing their impact on the environment. Like COE-ASM, we're based in RIT's Golisano Institute for Sustainability and, more often than not, most project costs are covered by funding from New York State.
In addition to our growing library of do-it-yourself tools and resources, we offer the following services:
- sustainable-manufacturing assessments
- technology commercialization
- sustainable supply-chain analysis
- life cycle assessment (LCA)
- food waste-diversion strategies
The Golisano Institute for Sustainability
The Golisano Institute for Sustainability, located in Upstate New York, is a leading industrial sustainability research, development, and technology deployment unit at Rochester Institute of Technology. GIS consists of a diverse set of research centers, academic and sponsored programs, and industry collaboration initiatives focused on the deployment of new technologies for more efficient and sustainable products and processes.
