Congratulations to Romiere Joshua Horace on publishing his research in the 2025 edition of the McNair National Research Journal under the guidance of his faculty mentor, Rebecca Houston, associate professor, Department of Psychology, College of Liberal Arts. Horace, who is a McNair Alum '24 and current CSTEP member, graduated as a psychology major in May 2024 and is now a second-year graduate student in the Experimental Psychology Program at the College of Liberal Arts. The research focuses on gender, moral emotions, trauma, and delinquent behavior, an important contribution to the field. This is an incredible milestone — we are so proud of this achievement. We also extend our gratitude to Professor Houston for her longstanding dedication to supporting the growth and success of our student scholars.
Kasim O’Meally’s artwork is going places! You can see “Rooted in Community” it in the Student Alumni Union, near the Frederick Douglass statue-and now- at the Link Gallery located on the first floor in Rochester’s City Hall. It is a visual timeline that shows the history of African, Latino, Asian and Native American student organizations and their impact at RIT over the last 50 years. We first told you about the joint project with AES and RIT Archives when it was unveiled during our Celebration of Excellence event this past May-the same month O’Meally graduated with a BS in web and mobile computing. The Link Gallery is located at 30 Church Street and is open to the public.
