McNair and CSTEP Summer Research
RIT Summer Research
Twenty-nine RIT students spent at least 30 hours each week this summer doing research and attending a series of academic writing workshops, some of that work, funded through the McNair and CSTEP programs. A dedicated team of RIT faculty mentors provided guidance as well.
Student research topics ranged from “Roles of AGN in Galaxy Mergers and Interaction” to “Accessibility and Inclusive UI Design for Gaming Platforms.”
Once their full-length research papers were completed, they were among more than 150 students who presented their findings at this year’s Undergraduate Research Symposium. Their 10-week program also included an academic enrichment trip to the Rochester Museum and Science Center and a graduate school tour at the University of Rochester.
