Office of Faculty Recruitment Honors Saunders College of Business and Three New Faculty
The Changing Hearts and Minds Award has been presented to Saunders College of Business by RIT’s Office of Faculty Recruitment and the Office of the Provost. The announcement came during a dinner last month for the Future Faculty Career Exploration Program.
Torrence Sparkman, assistant provost and assistant vice president for Faculty Recruitment said the award is given to a person or college that continues to push toward the values of broader impact, innovation, and achievement at RIT. In his presentation, he told Dean Jacqueline Mozrall, “It is given for your effort to attract and hire exceptional and multi-faceted faculty. Through your initiative you have positively influenced RIT’s culture and campus.”
A new initiative this year also honors three alumni of the Future Faculty Career Exploration Program, now working at RIT. Professors Nikisha Alcindor and Kalan Horton from the Saunders College of Business and Professor Mbaye Diouf from the College of Science received the Legacy Award for their commitment to build on the program’s legacy of scholarship and service and forge a path for future scholars.
The Future Faculty Career Exploration Program is now in its 22nd year. It is a nationally recognized program that promotes professional development for promising scholars and artists.
