National McNair Graduate School Boot Camp
A McNair Scholar traveled 1700 miles to attend bootcamp this summer! Kiffy Nwosu was in Austin, Texas for the National McNair Graduate School Boot Camp. It’s designed to demystify and prepare students for the rigors of doctoral education offering workshops, professional development and networking opportunities so students can gain insight into the graduate school application process, research careers, and life as a PhD student. Nwosu is a fourth-year double major in computer science and women, gender and sexuality studies.
Nwosu says, “I got the chance to meet a lot of really cool people, learn more about different graduate programs, and make connections with students and representatives from across the country. I’m really glad I had the opportunity to attend.” The trip was made possible through the funding of the RIT McNair Scholars program.
