Digital Collections

The Cary Collection holds rare books and journals as well as unique materials such as archival objects and realia.

Our Digital Collections are a part of the RIT Libraries’ efforts to make many of our uncommon collections more ubiquitously available in digital form. We use LUNA web software to deliver still image, video, and audio files of our holdings. Access the RIT Libraries Digital Collections.

These Digital Collections represent a fraction of the Cary’s library, but our offerings in the digital repository are constantly growing. Decisions about what to digitize may be based on any number of factors, such as funding opportunities, the condition of the original object, staff availability, user demand, and materials that support the teaching and research mission of RIT. We welcome both RIT community and public use of our Digital Collections platform.
