Past Exhibitions

JO.55, the inaugural edition of Josh Owen's solo exhibition, is a modular, traveling installation project in collaboration with RZLBD (Reza Aliabadi, Toronto, ON) and ARBR Studios (Rochester, NY). The show debuts with 55 display boxes, one for each year of Owen's life, allowing for the show to be a continuously evolving snapshot of his career as a designer and educator.

With inspiration from vintage science fiction and a meticulous eye for detail, Lee Hoag's sculptures are assembled with wood, metal, ceramics, fabric and other mixed materials. Together, they become a strange but appealing family of otherworldly objects, challenging our skills of recognition and imagination.

Rochester City School District students come together to share photographs created in the Virtual Academy of Rochester's Introduction to Digital Photography dual-credit course with RIT.

Seniors in BFA Studio Arts present their capstone projects in various media in two locations: City Art Space (downtown Rochester) and Bevier Gallery (RIT Campus). 

Graduate students in the Schools of Art and American Crafts present their thesis exhibitions in various media in two locations: City Art Space (downtown Rochester) and Bevier Gallery (RIT Campus). Graduate students in Photography and Related Media present their work in William Harris Gallery (RIT Campus). 

Rising on the Wind is a multimedia installation centering on sculptural kites, each acting as a visual vessel for a personal story of transformation. Presented by Lydia Boddie-Rice in collaboration with brothers Donald Brooks Jones and Philip Mallory Jones.

Wild Waysides: Queer Ecology and the New Natural is a multidisciplinary exhibition exploring how queer thinking reshapes our understanding of nature and belonging. Originally curated by Pearl Van Geest and James Fowler, the project has toured across Canada, presenting works that challenge conventional ideas of landscape, identity, and the natural world.
