I completed the 2+2 pipeline with the MCC optics program. While I was in school, I worked at two local optics companies: Sydor Optics, then Lumetrics. I collaborated with Lumetrics for my capstone project: Determining Methods for Defect Detection in Transparent Armor. I determined that a multi-spectral line-scanning system would be suitable for characterizing transparent armor laminate structures. My capstone helped me to secure a position at Lumetrics as an Imaging Scientist, which I will be starting June 1st.
