- Women’s History Month Events at RIT

Exciting events are already taking place on the RIT campus in celebration of National Women’s History Month. RIT President’s Commission on Women (PCW), in partnership with campus organizations, is making sure we highlight the many contributions made by the women of RIT as well as the offices and programs that support women. Here are some other activities still to come!
March 21st From 2 to 5pm, join Women at the Frontier of Interdisciplinary Research Scholarship and Technology (WomenFIRST) for their second annual “Taste of Research.” The group supports interdisciplinary networking and research for women faculty and at this event, faculty will be able to “sample” different research being conducted by RIT women scholars. This will be followed with a happy hour and beer tasting with Watershed Brewing Company. It’s all happening in the Susan Holliday Center 12-4050. This event is for women faculty. Contact Sandra Rothenberg at slrbbu@rit.edu for more information. Registration is required and space is limited.
March 27th There will be a Women’s Resource Fair from 11am to 1pm in the SAU Fireside Lounge, organized by the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Resource Center. Participants will be able to learn about the resources, clubs and organizations available for women. This is a student focused event with faculty and staff encouraged to attend.
March 28th The Women, Gender, and Sexuality Symposium will feature student and faculty presentations and explore the intersection of these topics with various technologies, including AI, biotechnology, and environmental tech. There will be a keynote luncheon, and panel discussions, highlighting the contributions and impacts of women, gender, and sexuality within technological field. This event is open to faculty, staff, and students. Learn more here
