Universitywide reaccreditation teams reached new milestones this spring, including finishing the first draft of a self-study prepared by eight working groups. Three priority areas have also been identified as the focal points of the self-study: student success, research, and community well-being. 

RIT is working with the U.S. Department of Defense to get high school students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

In only a few weeks, the SHED will open to the RIT community, and Tiffany Brodner is preparing for her new role overseeing the multi-use facility.

Nearly 70 different RIT student teams and clubs are poised to move into the Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) this summer in preparation for the building’s official opening in the fall semester.

The Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED) and the renovated Wallace Library will reopen in less than a year. Work has begun to schedule the fall semester classes that will be held for the first time in the SHED complex, and Joe Loffredo, RIT associate vice president for Academic Affairs and registrar, is leading the effort to assign the classrooms in Wallace Library.

While the SHED takes shape at the heart of the RIT campus, working groups are filling in the details of what will go inside the building.
