Artificial intelligence (AI) has entered the election—globally. To help voters navigate these advancements in social media, deepfakes, manipulated images, and cybersecurity, a few RIT experts are weighing in.

RIT’s annual event commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day will feature a keynote address by a faculty member whose work explores the intersections of communication, race, and identity. Katrina Overby, an assistant professor in the School of Communication, will headline the sixth annual Let Freedom Ring.

This week, RIT is helping diverse prospective faculty from across the country prepare to take the next step in their careers. Of the nearly 120 applications received, RIT welcomed 12 scholars from prestigious institutions including Penn State, UC Berkeley and the National Institutes of Health to participate in the Future Faculty Career Exploration Program.
