Students and faculty honored for club service
The Student Affairs Student Club and Organization Awards were held on April 17. The event celebrated the efforts and achievements of Student Affairs-recognized student organizations, their members, and advisers. Winners included the Archery Club and Latin American Student Association for Outstanding Student Organizations of the Year, Unity House as Special Interest House of the Year, and Phi Beta Sigma as Fraternity and Sorority Life President’s Cup winner. The Black Artists and Records Society was awarded New Student Organization of the Year, and RIT Colleges Against Cancer (Alpha Kappa Delta Phi) received recognition for Programs of the Year. Awards were given to the Asian Culture Society for Collaborative Excellence, Multicultural Business Association for Tiger Unity, and Phi Sigma Kappa for Commitment to Wellness. Students Hayden Grieble (Women’s Club Hockey), Kaitlyn Moy (Sigma Psi Zeta), and Juan Hernandez (Latin American Student Association) were recognized as Outstanding Student Leaders. Brooke Bean (Women’s Club Volleyball), Christian Waldschmidt (Habitat for Humanity), and Griffin Worthington (Tau Kappa Epsilon) were named Unsung Heroes of their organizations. Todd Kellis (Women's Club Hockey), John Oliphant, program director of Global Public Health, for the Global Public Health Association @ RIT, and Kurt Ingerick, executive director of Technology, Strategy and Sustainability for Phi Kappa Pi, were also honored for their contributions.
