Charges
The Nominations Officer (NO) The Nominations Officer will be a current member of the Faculty Senate, elected by the Senate for a one-year term. The Nominations Officer shall, in consultation with the immediate past chair of the Faculty Senate, solicit and manage elections to the senate-related positions listed below. Any senator seeking candidacy for election to the Senate Executive Committee is not eligible for election to this role.
The Nominations Officer shall be responsible for actively soliciting and receiving oral and/or written nominations for:
- the executive committee as noted in Article VI of this charter.
- open at-large positions on the Senate standing committees and
- the University Faculty Grievance Committee.
Nominations and elections to this position are the responsibility of the Operations Officer and shall be conducted within the first month of the Fall semester. The election schedule will follow the dates provided in section 6.2 of this charter which will result in an election conducted at Faculty Senate by the end of week twelve of spring term.
