We've carefully chosen these powerful tools and integrated them seamlessly within our campus ecosystem.

Email

RIT provides an official RIT email address and enterprise email solutions.

  • Students have access to Gmail as part of Google Workspaces for Education.
  • Faculty and Staff have access to Exchange Online and Outlook

Calendaring

Microsoft Exchange Calendaring offers faculty and staff the option of scheduling meetings, giving others the right to act as ‘delegates’ on their behalf, book conference rooms for appointments, and more.

RITmail

All faculty and staff are automatically subscribed to RITmail, the RIT Communication Center. To customize your subscriptions, please visit https://ritmail.rit.edu.

Google Apps

The Google Apps at RIT service is an opt-in service for your RIT Computer Account. Users can manage this at start.rit.edu. For details and instructions, visit the Center for Teaching and Learning site.

By opting-in to Google Apps, you will have access to Google Docs and Google Drive. You also must agree to only use your Google account for RIT purposes, follow RIT code of Conduct for Computer Use and RIT Network Acceptable Use Guidelines, and agree to the Google Apps for Schools Terms and Agreement.

Office 365

Faculty and staff that have an RIT-owned device, have the Office Productivity suite installed on that computer. Additionally, Office 365 is offered to all faculty, staff, and current RIT students and provides access to popular Office applications through any internet browser.

Avaya Cloud Office

RIT provides faculty and staff access to a computer-based phone through Avaya Cloud Office, that can be accessed any time, any place, using your computer and a headset. Requests for desk phones will be evaluated on a case by case basis based on need and availability.
