Director of Brand Management and Advertising

We are the brand stewards of RIT and provide brand strategy, advertising planning and buying, brand guidelines and more.  The services we can provide include:

Advertising planning and buying

  • Work with university partners and their chosen agencies to develop sound, strategic media plans and buys 
  • Ensure the right media mix is utilized to achieve overall marketing objectives 

Branding services

  • Answer any questions related to the overall RIT brand (how to use lockups, when to use certain images or colors, etc.) 
  • Presentations for staff on what branding is, why it’s important, what assets are available on the portal, etc.
  • Work with partners who require staff training on how to use the brand from a copy and art perspective 
  • Help identify approved marketing suppliers/vendors for printing of swag material

Trademarks and Licensing 

  • Working with legal counsel and the intellectual property office, we provide assistance on use of trademarks for both internal and external use.   This includes review of contracts, marks and more.
  • Manage approved licensed vendors (national and local) to ensure quality control and legal use of RIT marks
  • Provide direction to groups on campus on proper licensed vendors to use for promotional materials
