One-Session Class: The Barbary Wars

Presented by Mark Chapman. The Barbary Wars, two of the more obscure wars fought by the US, were important in establishing our standing on the international stage. We will examine the background, causes, and results of the war as well as key events and people who were involved. Mark is a retired elementary school teacher who is interested in history and how it has shaped our modern world. This is his first time leading an Osher class.
