Classroom #2
Note: the original class scheduled on this date (The Titan II) will now be offered in Winter 2017. Presented by Dick Scott In the summer and fall of 1940, German and British air forces clashed in the skies over the United Kingdom, locked in the largest sustained bombing campaign to that date. Britain's decisive victory saved the country from a ground invasion while proving that air power alone could be used to win a major battle. Members might wish to view in advance the 1969 film, the Battle of Britain. The pilots that fought in this conflict were Dick's childhood heroes and he has been studying them ever since. He has some military flying experience though not in combat.
