Presented by Dick Scott Hundreds of thousands of men and hundreds of ships were engaged this naval engagement which sprawled over thousands of square miles in October, 1944. This battle, reported to be the largest in military history, saw virtually every type of naval combat. The Japanese Navy was all but destroyed. Dick, a new Osher member, has had a lifelong interest in the Pacific War and looks forward to sharing his knowledge with his fellow Osher members.
