One-Session Class: The Ottoman Phoenix

Presented by Elise de Papp Elise will explore how Attaturk saved Turkey, the original home of the 500+-year-old Ottoman Empire, and founded the (once) secular nation in 1923 at the end of World War I. Elise, with her own Armenian connections, will return to a subject she taught earlier at Osher, to focus on 20th century events in Ottoman history.
