[Presented by Nancy Dubner] This presentation will focus on the citizen efforts to create two new national parks in New York State. They are Val Kill, Eleanor Roosevelt's Home in Hyde Park and The Women's Rights Park in Seneca Falls. Nancy Dubner had a central role with both parks. She will discuss the mechanisms and pitfalls such citizen efforts face. When you know their stories you will surely visit them with renewed appreciation.
